Postdoctoral Researcher in reinforcement learning for its application to disassembly tasks.

We are opening a position for ONE postdoctoral researcher to work at the Automation Research Team (ART) on:

Reinforcement learning for disassembly tasks by a robotic manipulator

 

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in robotics-related field
  • Experience with reinforcement learning
  • Good track record of publications

 

Salary:

  • From 2500 to 2700 yen / hour depending on the experience (¥387,500 to ¥418,500 on average per month).
  • Income tax and social insurance premium are deducted from the salary.

 

Employment duration:

  • From as soon as possible to March 31 of 2025, with possibility of renewal until March 31 of 2027 (contract renewal done per fiscal year).

  • Automation Research Team, Industrial CPS Research Center

Working hours:

  • From Monday to Friday, 7 hours and 45 minutes per day (preferably from 9:00 to 17:45 but can be negociated, lunch break of 1 hour).

 

Holidays:

  • Saturday, Sunday, year ending holidays and Japanese National holidays.

 

Treatment:

  • There is a paid leave system, a commuting allowance system, and social insurance according to AIST’s regulations.
